AAU Celebrates the Continuation of APRA Collaboration

AAU and the (APRA) celebrated the signing of an official memorandum of understanding for the fourth time which gives students real world experience in the PR industry under the guidance of mentors from top agencies in the Czech Republic.聽

鈥淚 always look for hands-on projects that students can work on in the field, outside of the classroom, and the APRA association met our needs perfectly, and we met theirs,鈥� said Professor Jeff Medeiros who teaches the Public Relations in Practice program.

Rostislav Star媒 the Program鈥檚 Guarantor from PR agency Konector introduced the collaboration to students along with the mentors names鈥� some returning from last year鈥攊ncluding:

  • Martin Fr媒dl, AC&C
  • V谩clav Pavelka, Native PR
  • Pavl铆na Rieslov谩, Ewing
  • Patrik Schober, PRAM 

This agreement strengthens AAU鈥檚 professional development, internships opportunities, and industry-led learning prospects. The goal of the program is for students to create a complete PR strategy within teams under the guidance of their mentors which will be presented at the end of the semester.

鈥淭he first event I participated in as AAU鈥檚 CEO was the PR strategies presentation in December 2024, and I said thank you for the Christmas gift. It told me that I had joined the right institution because we have the best students,鈥� said Chief Executive Officer of AAU, Anna Hud谩kov谩.

The collaboration with APRA is just one aspect of the Business Administration: Marketing and Digital Communications major, in which students gain an understanding of business principles, marketing strategies, and digital communication techniques. AAU believes in holistic education, promoting learning within the classroom as well as from outside sources, as demonstrated by the Public Relations course.
