In the Winter of 2025-2026, the US announced its retreat from the world in its security strategy documents announcing that it was limiting its immediate focus to the Western Hemisphere. This shift effectively reduced America鈥檚 commitment to its transatlantic relations with Europe in terms of security, politics, trade, and culture. Simultaneously, it stepped back the US approach to challenging China鈥檚 rise. These two retreats were accompanied by a commitment to increase American war industrial capacity. What does this all mean? What are the consequences of simultaneously retreating form the world and preparing for war? What will the new world order look like? Come discuss these questions and ask your own.
